Copying Rig and then adjusting bone size

Hi Esoteric Team,

First off I want to thank you guys for you timely responses! I saw some jerk on the forums was giving you a hard time and I couldn't believe it with how diligent you all usually are.

Second I have a question about copying a rig from one project to another. How would I go about copying a rig from one project to another, simply duplicating it or importing it to another project and then renaming it to something else?

After this has occurred is there any way to uniformly scale the bones either increasing bone sizes or decreasing bone sizes? Reason being is I have a lot of creatures that are designed similarly but they can vary in size quite dramatically. If I could simply increase the bone sizes or decrease the bone sizes I could see myself being saved thousands of hours of work.

Hello Tim!
You can resize your bones using the bone lenght tool: Tools - Spine User Guide: Bone length tool

Or you can resize your entire skeleton using import: Fitting new high-res assets with a smaller skeleton?

You can also just resize some bones only in some skins using skin constraints creatively: Blog: Skin constraints for different proportions

Regarding what you should do with the skeleton, I'd probably import it in the Same Spine project if I need to create interactions between skeletons, otherwise I generally keep each skeleton in its own project. If you want to keep all skeletons in the same project because it makes exporting in bulk easier you can absolutely go ahead.
Creatures that are the same but just scale differently, can be scaled at runtime so they may need just one skeleton. I think you can probably do the operation of using the assets in the correct size at runtime directly.
If I were you I'd definitely look into the skin constraints as they open a lot of doors!

Erika thank you for the reply! I think the second option you gave me might work out perfectly, when it is time to rig a new creature I am going to give that a shot. I may have to guess a bunch of times that exact % increase in bone size but if I am even within a close range than I should be able to manually adjust as needed and still save a ton of time, THANK YOU!
