Hey team,

I loaded up the latest beta and saw my spline bindings have been broken. For eyelids and mouth shapes, I use splines with several constrained bones to drive the mesh. This gives me some nice flexibility in posing, especially in regards to smooth arches and S-curves.

The launcher isn't allowing me to select any builds between 25 & 33 so I'm not exactly sure when the issue occurred. Any ideas where I could start to problem solve this?

Please tell me this is not true. I have just resaved 150+ projects in 4.0.33

I've been trying to see where the issue is, and it seems the Spacing slider doesn't appear to be working, which is clustering all the joints at the start point of the curve. Position, Offset and the Mix sliders all appear to be working. Let me know if I can provide more info. Thanks!

In the launcher or editor settings, you can choose Other... at the bottom of the list of versions and type any version.

The stretchyman project looks OK. Can you please send your .spine file so we can take a look? contact@esotericsoftware.com

Hey Nate,

I'm on my other computer so I'll try to get you a file tomorrow. Though worth mentioning, I created a new project and attempted to constrain a few joints to a curve and the Spacing slider still didn't work. Unless I was using it incorrectly somehow. I was specifically using "Percent" spacing on those curves.

Maybe you are doing something differently? I tried all combinations of the spacing, position, and rotate modes.

Yeah, I'm pretty stumped. I'll need to take a closer look tomorrow. I was using the "Percent" mode in my setup, which just worked as expected on my laptop with the older 3.x builds. Though whatever I had working before, definitely didn't play nice with the current 4.x build.

If you can show us what is broken, we are happy to fix it! 🙂

A number of things changed regarding paths. A new spacing mode called Proportional was added (which is really cool!). How scale is applied to paths had to be changed because it's behavior was wrong, as described here:

Thanks Nate, could you email me that file so I can open it directly in the morning? My bones have zero length, though I can't imagine that would cause an issue.

Ah good point. That allows me to see the problem. We'll have it fixed in 4.0.34-beta! Your project will be fine, even if you saved them with 4.0.33-beta.
