The PhotoshopToSpine tool should crop images by default unless the revealAll variable is set to true. This is a configurable but "hidden" option. If you haven't set revealAll to true, then this may be an issue we need to fix.
Most users prefer to crop to the canvas, without revealing content outside its boundaries. Implementing this feature shouldn’t be too challenging; however, it would require adding a new checkbox to an already complex UI.
We’ll discuss this internally and will update this thread with our decision on whether or not to implement it. 👍
