Nate Note almost every Spine user gives meshes too many vertices.

这个确实、因为如果没有严格限制的话。用户会更倾向于在布点的时候就留足一定的冗余、而不是在后期变形的时候发现布点密度不够才返回修改。

我已经尝试了4.3.60-beta。它非常优秀、但依旧没能处理我跟论坛另一位用户反馈的一样。
我希望自动布点可以优化凹边和凸边的均匀度和边缘贴合度。在现版本中、将新参数(统一)设置为50获得的效果会比较好。
正如我前面提到的、我的工作已经转向4.1了。因此我暂时无法报告新的描绘特性对实际工作流的影响。不过它已经明显优于老版本并且切实提升了工作效率。

下方是我在Spine相关讨论组中其他用户自己开发的自动追踪工具。他优化了点的均匀度和贴合度。其中左上角的直线是因为裁切了部件并且没填充一定的空白导致超出范围而没有弧度。希望对此功能的开发有参考

I used it to test batch tracing on the hair attachments, and version 4.3.60-beta seems to produce results comparable to the tracing results you showed in the thread. I have emailed you a video recording of the test results and the Spine project file I created, so please take a look.

The trace settings used in this test are as follows:

Detail: 45
Concavity: 80
Refinement: 80
Uniform: 30
Alpha threshold: 30
Padding: 2

After performing a batch trace with these settings, as far as I can tell, there doesn’t seem to be a significant difference in the number of vertices between convex and concave edges.
If you have any thoughts or concerns regarding these results, please let us know.

4.3.60的追踪优化已经非常棒了。新增的参数(Uniform)很好平衡两边的点。均匀度也很好。
目前我对描绘功能的优化方向的期许是可以比较好地贴合凸边。
新的参数(Uniform)虽然可以均匀排布点、但它的算法似乎是在两段直线添加点、达到密度。我简单使用圆给你做演示、当然圆的话不需要用到Uniform、只需要把Concavity调高即可得到不错的效果。因此下方参数单纯作为Uniform的实现逻辑演示用。

Uniform subdivides long edges after the normal trace operation so that vertices are more uniformly spaced. For a circle, the vertices are already uniform. In other words, all the edges are already the same length. That means the uniform setting isn't really applicable, though if you set uniform high it'll still add some vertices.

If you want your vertices to huge the circle better, increase the Detail slider.

We did some a few more improvements in 4.3.61-beta!

这对非4.3的用户或许有挺大的帮助。目前来说很多游戏选定版本之后并不会更新运行时以支持最新版本。而降版本容易丢失数据。因此这个工具虽然很多功能待完善、但是已经很好提升效率。

Now that batch tracing is supported and optimal mesh vertex placement still requires careful consideration of its effect on weights, using Spine 4.3-beta is the more convenient option in many cases. However, I understand that this tool can still be helpful for users who need to use older editor versions due to runtime constraints.

Our general approach is to encourage upgrading to the latest version whenever possible. We are also happy to assist with any issues that may arise during the upgrade process, and we encourage users to reach out to us if they need support.

Thanks for sharing! That tool looks useful. It's very fast, so it probably doesn't do the brute force quality improvements that Spine applies with the Refinement slider. After the initial fit, Spine uses adaptive optimizations that take a lot of time but improve the fit, especially with low vertex counts and in concave areas. When tracing multiple meshes at once, Spine does many of them at once, so while we still spend quite a bit of time improving the result, it's a lot faster than 1 by 1.

Unrelated, but we've also done speed improvements in 4.3.64-beta for auto weight of many meshes at once.

这个工具没有"精致度"和"填充"参数。它会在首次接入json和图像后首先执行一遍全部描绘。之后只需要检查哪些面片不太满意进行一定修改就行了。最主要的是它全部凸壳点的均匀度和贴合度都很好。基本完全可以胜任目前正式版及以下版本的工作流节点。

我一直关注着Spine最新特性的更新、希望Spine未来更新的一些特性可以不要太受嵌入引擎等的性能制约、比如蒙版、弯曲变形器等功能加入。我觉得有时候用一定的性能牺牲换取更高的质量是值得的。
还有能提升编辑器易用性的、比如时间轴的标记、部件的独显等。
能看到Spine越来越好用、社区越来越活跃挺高兴的

这是极端情况下、此工具的结果如下。因为作者暂还没开发"填充"功能、且对不透明度的阈值过于宽容。所以大致相当于Spine中描绘8～10的结果。但是对于常规的部件来说、也算足够优秀了。对于没有批量描绘的正式版和旧版本来说、无疑节省了相当的时间。🧐

Agreed, it's not such an important thing to support, just an interesting case. We have many test images, as it's important for it to behave correctly in all cases, never breaking. It's a hard problem and easy to have cases where pixels get cut off incorrectly.

One use case that can be useful in practice is that Spine's trace function can handle images with multiple "islands" of pixels. It connects them with a very thin piece of mesh, eg the face or squares here:
