Flickering unselectable slots and attachments
There is a strange bug, which appeared, I think, after one of the hotfixes for v2.0+
Whilst hovering my mouse over slots, attachments, images, the highlight starts to flicker like a strobe light and probably would cause an epileptic seizure. And the selection of those elements becomes problematic. Sometimes the click doesn't register and I can't select the element. Sometimes it does. Sometimes I have to wait several seconds and there maybe there is a higher chance for the click to register, but maybe not.
Bones and some other elements act normal. It's all in the Tree window. This problem is not constant, it probably happens something with updating images (but the problem occurs not with the updated or changed images, but with all of them).
We're in "get work done fast and publish" mode, so I didn't really explore this bug. But it is recurring.
I can confirm this bug. It's minor, for the most part, but it's confusing and can jilt any flow you happen to have when it does occur.
I don't see this happening. How do I reproduce it? What Spine version and OS?
Spine 2.1.07 and many previous versions starting from 2.0.xx
Windows 7.
I have this bug every session I'm working. As The7DeadlyVenomz mentioned, it breaks the flow. I have to restart Spine each time, as it really hinders workflow. However, sometimes the bug appears even upon restarting.
I can't reproduce it exactly, yet. I think it has to do with the fact that the Images folder is a Dropbox folder, which is being constantly updated not just by me, but by others in the office. And it is big.
I'm sorry - I just checked on this again. I'm using a regular folder. It is doubtful that the flickering has anything to specifically do with Dropbox, but it is certainly connected to updating the images. I don't have to close the program for it to go away. I just click on the flickering selection multiple times until I can select it, at which point the flickering stops.
Like Nate mentioned we need some way to reproduce it to be able to fix it.
If you are still experiencing the problem, please provide some additional information, maybe you both have some sort of hardware setup or software setup that screws with Spine.
We hate bugs, especially the ones we can't reproduce ourselves
Back with this issue. First I thought of it as a small nuisance. As The7DeadlyVenomz presented it. But now it's super annoying and occurs sometimes so often, I have to restart Spine 3 times in a row.
Here's a timetable on how often it might occur on a day, when I'm working the first half of an hour on Spine, the other half on hour on Photoshop:
11:20
11:30
12:08
12:36
15:08
15:15
15:14
15:44
15:50
16:26
17:03
17:05
17:24
18:37
18:41
I still can't pinpoint the circumstances when the bug appears It's a huge chance it's got to do with new images being added to the folder. But not always... I'll try to keep an eye on it to narrow it down.
. I don't have to close the program for it to go away. I just click on the flickering selection multiple times until I can select it, at which point the flickering stops.
Doesn't work for me. The bug perseveres. I can click on attachements and slots and get a successfull click every several seconds, but it doesn't vaporise the glitch.
