Lock image scale upon set parent

Hi everyone, New to spine.

I looked over the forums and a few articles but feel most of the articles have more complex issues than mine!

Every time I go to attach an image (limb) to a bone (by using 'set parent') - the image resizes .
Is there a way to prevent the image from resizing to the parent ?

See the before and after screenshots - where I attempted to attach the upper arm.

I know I could resize the image back down, but I already have all the sizes perfect.

It sounds like you're placing an attachment on a bone that has been scaled. While setting up your skeleton it is recommended to keep the Scale of bones to 1,1.
Please see Tools - Spine User Guide: Bone length tool on how to change the length of the bone. Also note the Length value of the bone can be seen and changed in the properties below the tree.

Hi Shiu.

Thank you for your help.
I checked all the scales and they were all set to 1,1.

But I noticed that inheritance of scale was on.
Seems 'left - arm - top' was inheriting from its parent bone "Chest", does this sound right?

Turned off all the parent inheritance, used bone length tool instead of scale tool and now I am
attaching the images to bones - haven't noticed any of the images warping...

Placing an attachment on a bone with scale inheritance on (default is on), will result in the attachment being resized if the parent bone has a scale other than 1,1.

Note that turning off scale inheritance can have unwanted side effects on some animations. I recommend keeping it on for most things, unless of course your animation requires it to be off.
